Alex likes playing golf because he can hear the birds chirping and the horses neying..

Personally, I am the type that I can be good at just about anything physical or "athletic."  But, not great at everything.  I am great at long distance cycling because I have made stamina.

But, Golf...I just have no desire.  It seems so mundane.

I can play crazy golf and what have you, any golf related game which just involves putting and a little chipping...but proper golf? No, can't do it, I can't drive the ball to save my life.

It is really hard to play golf. I have a whole new perspective and appreciation for the sport. Plus, it's very enlightening. Until I tried golf, I had no idea the expanse of my cuss library nor did I know that I have the upper body strength of a marshmallow.

I'm actually bummed it didn't work out. I was thinking it would be a good way to just hang out with friends and enjoy a nice course.

Golf blows. But our backyard opens up onto hole 7 of a course, and in the evenings when no one's around I'll take the grandkids out there to goof around. We try putting, we explore the creeks, we visit the geese at the ponds, we pick up lost golf balls. With a bit of imagination -- and the willpower to break away from various digital devices -- it's a blast out there.

My grandpa was obsessed with golf. I'd be more entertained staring at a blank white wall than watch a game of golf.

My husband says I can suck a golf ball through a garden hose for what it's worth.

IMO, Golf is an acquired taste, just like loving :rush: .You can love it and obsess about it, or you can wonder what is the big deal.
