90125: noted!

You have to make this a priority...a fantastic album!

Yeah it still sounds great. I still laugh at the shirt i bought at the show.

I was having an especially raging evening and bought a pink, sleeveless t shirt complete with glow in the dark graphics.

Owner of a ugly shirt!

I knew you did, but not THAT highly, but Digital Dad surprised me!

Nothing comes close to Tales. I know prog had a lot of great albums, but Tales surpasses not only every prog album, but EVERY album I have ever heard.

That emotional punch I felt when I first heard it...nothing comes close and it just keeps on getting better!

Pity that so few understand.

It isn't the same hugely emotional experience for me that it is for you- but I get so caught up in the musicianship. There is just nothing else like it.

How did I misread that?! Hahahaha

Sorry Digital Dad I was blind.

But yeah, everything, EVERYTHING about Tales is spot on for me.

And for those who say otherwise, I don't understand how either CTTE or Relayer can be so good, as they are virtually part one and three of the same trilogy, both in terms of style and impact for me.

Tales takes it to the next level, but I do love the other two LOOOOADS!

Agreed. Although I don't rate CTTE as highly as some people do, it is still excellent. And Relayer as well. The Gates of Delirium is nearly as good as any of the lengthy pieces on Tales, I think. Not as good...but nearly.

I only recently found love for CTTE, its glorious but I respect it more than I love it, but that respect is of the HIGHEST regard.

As for Relayer, Gates Of Delirium is masterful, and only a teensy notch below anything on Tales.

From CTTE to Relayer, I hear so many jazz fusion influences I often play Bitches Brew alongside them!

I was in a heavy Miles Davis phase when I discovered Tales, that is what sucked me in (after choosing it based solely on the artwork!).

I will never understand how serious prog fans do not like this album. I am a casual prog fan, and I think its one of the best! Almost all the other classics sound merely OK to my ears in comparison!

Along with Rush and a few others one of my favorite bands by far. In fact I have seen them far more than any other band(11 times; Rush only 4 times).

My personal favorites are:

Close to the Edge

Relayer

Fragile

Talk

Going for the one

The Yes album

Most of their albums are good though with many being great. 90125 is a bit over rated although I liked it back in the eighties. Big Generator I like more because I think it's closer to their earlier prog sound. Talk has "endless dream" which is one of their greatest epics. "The ladder" is a very good world music influenced rock album and is a bit different but still very enjoyable. Lots of great music to discover in their catalog.

The real uber Yes fans on here might want to consider joining yesfans.com .

Saw ARW in Manchester last night.

The best live Yesmusic I've heard since the Full Circle tour in 03.

Stunning.

I felt that way after seeing them in Anaheim CA this past December.

Best Yes-related thing I've seen since 2004.

And that's a little hard to swallow, since I am friends with at least two people in the current "official" lineup.... I dig what they are doing too, but this was something else.
