What Made You Laugh Today?

In the locker room at my gym, I turn the corner and there's some dude standing in front of the mirror checking himself out butt naked, smiling like he's too suave, and clenching his ass! What a narcissistic nob. I couldn't help but laugh at that time. He abruptly stopped.

Just admit it. It was you. :P

If i clenched my buns the thunder from the collision would send shockwaves that'd obliterate all life on the planet.

Just remember...with great power comes great responsibility

Or in my case, with great buns come great responsibility

The Force is strong in this one...

Watching the 11:30pm local news now. It's a live program and for whatever reason Tom Hanks is in the studio. He looks so out of place and confused as the translator is translating everything said to him as fast as possible. I like Hanks tons but man this is funny in the same way Bill Murray was confused in Lost In Translation. Except this is real.

Absolutely hilarious. Hanks is joking around about how energetic the studio audience is and how "bright the studio lights are" for it being so late at night. Then, he's wanting the translator to translate EXACTLY what he's saying. For example, "Please tell them 'My kids are sometimes brats.' How do you say 'brats' in Japanese?"

I was at Whistle Binkies Pub & Restaurant (Rochester, MN), and I saw a dead ringer look-alike of my old flame from college. Same facial features, same hair color and style, same body type......it was uncanny.....

I took it fairly well. No heart palpitations or increased pulse......that I can remember..... :laughing guy: :laughing guy:

Saw some clown trying to smoke a ciggy, use his phone, and hold/drink a beer all while riding a bicycle. Talk about greedy. He ended up spilling some beer, dropping his phone, and as a bonus: he dropped a bag of some baked goods...of which a bagel rolled out. He did manage to keep the ciggy in his mouth though. Edited by JohnnyBlaze

This, taken from the "What made you sad today?" thread:

x1yyz, can I steal this and post it, like, EVERYWHERE?

Please do!

Cool! How may I credit you?

Oh, I didn't make up the image. I found it somewhere a year or so ago. So I guess you could credit the great Internet itself ;)

That is great! I wonder how many of our Kanji-type shirts and tattoos sound like that to the native speakers :D

It's been ages since I"ve looked at Engrish.com ... I will go do so now.

Many times those kanji shirts have absolutely no meaning. Somewhat similar but it's more like a single sound for example like "gu"...which means absolutely nothing.

These shirts are funnier because they're full on attempts at sentences. On a side note, just looking at that shirt I'd guess it's not from Japan but from mainland Asia. There's a certain quality of bad engrish that's somewhat identifiable.

There was an adult student at the language school I used to teach at who we (the teachers) secretly nicknamed "The Riddler"----> because we didn't know what the hell she was talking about most of the time!

Please understand that this nickname wasn't coming from a mean place. She was a pleasant woman (we all liked her) but good god I'm still trying to decipher some of the things she told me from years ago.

It'd go something like this...

Steve (looking at his class schedule at the start of the day): Who is Mieko Ikeda?

Me: Thats The Riddler!!!

Steve: Oh yes!

Mercedes: Hey Steve, you better come back in here later with all the juicy riddle quotes!

Steve: You know I will ! Riddle me this!

I never went into biology after seventh grade science, with the frog dissections and rebuilding the skeleton after denudement of the flesh, etc. I know kids in Hight school that did the fetal pig thing, but I'm glad I never did that....[and despite what the spellchecker says on this site, 'DENUDEMENT' IS A CORRECT SPELLING OF AN ACTUAL WORD.]

Hi, biology/zoology major here :D I am thoroughly fascinated by anatomy, particularly skeletal anatomy. For three years I worked as a volunteer the the California Academy of Science's Bones Lab, disassembling animals and preparing the skeletons for the museum's collection. I occasionally did necropsies, and the data from one of my necropsies on an endangered species went to the authorities as evidence of poaching.

So, um, yeah, I'm totally fine working with dead humans and such. (Although I have yet to participate in an autopsy, and would really love to.)

I'm sure you know, if you're familiar with the show NCIS, that David McCallum, who plays the Medical Examiner, has been allowed to PARTICIPATE in autopsies. I guess it's so that he is REALLY INTO research on his role... ;) My uncle in Indiana was a Mortician and wanted me to join his practice, but even though I'm facinated with skeletons, never wanted to'play' with dead bodies! LOL Loved it when he took me for rides in this white '64 Cadillac Ambulance though!
