Cut To The Chase...  This is a tough one, because every song is a heavy hitter.  But CTTC is truly my favorite.  In my opinion, this is the best sounding CD they recorded since Moving Pictures.  So much bottom end, and drag you through the dirt licks.  I'm tired when I'm finished listening to this album.  It sets out from the beginning to just kick your ass... no question about it.

Alas, I've already answered. However, it's nice to read something posted a while ago to see that it still holds true. Adding on, however with notables.

 

Animate which is one of Rush's strongest recorded songs to date (live version from different stages makes me feel like bursting out of my skin), CTTH (best damn song on the CD), Nobody's Hero, Between Sun And Moon (first song from the CD I rehearsed on drums), The Speed Of Love (Has a feel to it that can't be described in words - such a great song), Double Agent (HUGE), LTTA (Favorite Rush Instrumental), Cold Fire (Another underrated Classic - one of their all time best).

i love this album..but it was an easy Everyday Glory for me. i LOVE LTTA, but the RIR version is much better.

As great as all the songs are on this album, I had to pick Double Agent just because of the monologues. Geddy doesn't get much scarier than that (in a good way!)

This LP hit me hard in an emotional way. I was going through a seperation from my wife and daughter when this came out. I couldnt listen to this LP for a few years without reminding me of how I felt.. funny that huh?... Cold fire seemed to be my fave so Ill go with that. Nobody's hero was a great one for second..hard to play!

Animate is awesome! Everything about this song rocks! It's great on the album and great live. The Counterparts tour was the first time I ever saw Rush. I went with my roommate and her friend. Yes, three chicks went to a Rush concert :-) lol

 

The concert was so good I have continued to go to at least one show every tour :-)

I like CUT TO THE CHASE a lot but my favourite is COLD FIRE i love the guitar intro and the drums after that, plus the lyrics are good too.
