Post a useless fact

Where the middle finger gesture came from:

When the French archers were killed by the enemy, the enemy would cut off their middle finger as a prize for killing the archer as that was the finger they used to draw their bow. When the battles would start the French archers would show their middle finger to the enemy as if to say "come and get them".

Useless but cool

Humans and pigs are the only creatures that can get sunburn.

So do the tips of the ears on white cats, so I've heard.

:o Never heard that. Despite the fact that they have the ears covered with hair?

Ouch, the most sensitive spot. Poor white cats they will hate the climatic change.

Michigan, Navy, Stanford, and Miami of Ohio are the only schools to have produced both a Super Bowl winning QB and a US President. Edited by laughedatbytime
