Food and Music Tour of the South: NOLA to Charleston

Earlier in the year, I went to the Superbowl to watch my guys narrowly beat a very good San Fran team. I really enjoyed my time in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Aside from the football, I loved the food and the music.

 

When I got home, my wife and kids were excited about the idea of taking two weeks and driving from New Orleans, across the Mississippi and Alabama coast, through Florida, Georgia and into South Carolina. The trip is largely planned around some of my favorite restaurants and Barbecue joints and venues for jazz and blues but we still have plenty of open dates. So here is my question for you.

 

What are your suggestions for meals and specific restaurants in the South, particularly in New Orleans, Savannah and Charleston. Any help would be appreciated.
