Does all Krokus sound like Scott era AC/DC? If it does I may have to check them out. I'd always thought of them as an 80's hair metal band...didn't know they were still around.

I haven't paid attention to anything Krokus since 1981. I just happened to catch this tune and was blown away that they had pulled some old Bon Scott out of a vault somewhere. Turned out to be Krokus. From the sound of these tracks, they should just join AC/DC...pulling off something along the lines of what KISS has done reinventing their classic era.

I think I read somewhere that Storace was actually offered the AC/DC gig after Bon died.

Yeah he was their first choice but he turned it down to stay in Krokus.

Hahahaha! PAT! Not sure if you remember but I'm a KROKUS expert.

That is incorrect.

I saw KROKUS in Reno NV 14 years ago with Wendy. Krokus did a meet and greet after the show. I talked with Marc for ten minutes. I asked him right to his face if he was the first pick to join AC/DC after Bon died.

He said "yes" so that is correct, but Marc told me that record label Arista wouldn't let him out of his contract with Krokus, so reluctantly he had to turn down the offer. HE WAS ALL IN!

Then he asked me if I had DC WORLD on cd. I told him... "of course I do!" That's an AC/DC Storace covers album. He nails it.

After the meet and greet we saw KROKUS at some casino bar. We joined them for an hour or two and partied with them! Great guys!!!

I want to know what those first few KROKUS albums sound like, the 70's ones. I've never been able to get hold of them!
