Relayer2112
This may make a better HBO series, but a movie based on the Elric of Melnibone books by Michael Moorcock was always something I've wanted to see. I even know who can play Elric, Luke Goss, the guy who played Prince Nuada in Hellboy II. That character in Hellboy II is exactly as I envision Elric should look.
foghorn-leghorn
I hear the Artemis Fowl series of books are to be adapted to film. The books have been very successful, and if done properly, theycould be as "big" as the Harry Potter series.

He may look like him, but I seriously doubt he could muster Elrics personality......much as I would love to see it, I fear it would be pretty much unfilmable unless they did the usual Hollywood complete disregard of the essence and spirit of the novel. JohnnyBlaze
I'm surprised The Killing Joke hasn't been adapted yet to the big screen or a two part episode or something. It would be very difficult to screw up -- especially since Mark Hamill said he'd come out retirement and voice Joker again if it's animated.Haven't seen you around in ages USB and you no doubt already know this, but just in case: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_The_Killing_Joke_(film)
JohnnyBlaze
http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/busiek8.jpg http://www.entrecomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/1985.jpg Two provocative and very different takes on the superhero story. "1985" written by Mark Millar has already had many of his works adapted to film. "Marvels" seems much better suited to a mini-series. But with the right people behind it, it could definitely be the greatest film adaptation ever. It's one of my favorite stories in the genre.
