You know, there are so many good songs on this album...sometimes I think I am the only Rush fan on the planet that likes Scars and Anagram (For Mongo)...
I also think Presto is a fabulous song, and though it is one of my favorites I had to vote for The Pass because that song literally saved my life.

The Pass
Someone set a bad example
Made surrender seem all right
The act of a noble warrior
Who lost the will to fight
And now you're trembling on a rocky ledge
Staring down into a heartless sea
Done with life on a razor's edge
Nothing's what you thought it would be
No hero in your tragedy
No daring in your escape
No salutes for your surrender
Nothing noble in your fate
Christ, what have you done?

Made surrender seem all right
The act of a noble warrior
Who lost the will to fight
And now you're trembling on a rocky ledge
Staring down into a heartless sea
Done with life on a razor's edge

No salutes for your surrender
Nothing noble in your fate
Christ, what have you done?

I have to say Chain Lightning. But at the same time I will agree that The Pass is a better song (I guess) it's just that Chain Lightning never gets old to me, and the lyrics have alot to do with that.
I guess I should call a tie between Chain Lightning, The Pass, and Available Light.
Funny thing I used to hate this album, but I was stupid. VERY stupid. Nuff said???

This one is especially tough because it truly is a three way tie to me. I voted for Show Don't Tell, but it is right up there with Chain Lightning and The Pass. Other amazin's are - well every song. There's not a bad one on it that belongs behind the others. However, over the years I have had disgusting obsessions with War Paint, Scars, Presto, and Available Light. My wife's favorite Rush song is also on this CD - Hand Over Fist.

soooo hard to pick..this is my absolute favorite album in the whole entire world!!
..but if i had to pick, it'd probably be Presto.
the evening plane rises up from the runway
over constellations of light
i look down into a million houses
and wonder what you're doing tonight..
soooo many good memories with this album..
