I know their cover of Hard to Handle... and that's it. They're from Atlanta though right? So am I... Maybe I should know more heh.

Bro, that isn't even close to one of their better songs! Definitely give them a listen.

get these:

The Great Southern Harmony And Musical Companion

Amorica

Check out the song "Virtue and Vice" for a great example of what I'm talking about.

I find this tune incredibly uplifting, I posted the lyrics in Sanity once.

I go huge for bands who can rock out with a blues sound, and when it comes to that you just can't touch these guys. They are THAT good. I can't imagine ANYONE who likes rock n roll who can say they don't like The Black Crowes.

edited for awful use of commas.

wink.gif Thought they split up in a sea of ego's? which was a shame, great band. Southern Harmony is a classic in my eyes & with Jimmy Page live at the Greek or Creek? fantastic, so good I had it stolen by some T**t at work. wink.gif

I've loved the Crowes since they first started. These guys rock. And I've been fortunate enough to see them twice. Great shows both times. I agree with everything Riv said. What's not to like about this band?

3 Snakes And 1 Charm.

Not my favorite album by any means but there's something about "Girl From A Pawnshop". I can listen to this song over and over again - actually I've been doing that for the past hour or so. It just grabs me.

Weird thing - a friend of mine died in a car accident a couple weeks ago and for some reason it didn't really hit me until I heard this song, which is strange because the lyrics have nothing to do with anything like that. The music and passion in the vocals was killing me.

Stange how tones can trigger things.
