It all pretty much tastes like crap to me, so I used to just buy the cheapest I could find in college. I found one in a 40oz bottle one time called Big Jug Beer. Undrinkable.

Also in college I was given a free (which was always my favorite brand) six pack of various fruit flavored beers in return for evaluating them. Words cannot adequately express the taste of these things. Maybe a mixture of cough syrup and throw up would be close.

I've never tasted a Scottish ale that was pleasant to drink

Most of the popular ones are fairly ropey alright, but there are some beauts. The ales from Islay are to die for. What an island, all that incredible smoky whisky, and great ales too. The locals must have livers made of steel.
A deep, smoky, peety Islay scotch has no equal.

Keystone is decent. A little better than High Life, a little worse than Busch.

Not a bad beer, in fact it's rated very high on BA and on RB, but after a few sips of this It turned me off the "sour" style completely.

High Life is awful... as far as the three tier-2 macrobrew light beers go, it's last by a good margin. Hell, I'd rather drink something like Blatz, Schlitz, or Schells before I go with Low Life.

IMO high life is better than keystone by a slim margin. I like your earlier post as you indirectly complimented busch, which is my go to

Busch is very underrated. It's an awesome budget beer.
