I have to say Open Secrets. Lock and Key comes in a close second.

Ya know what's funny? First time I listened to HYF, Open Secrets was my least favorite.  tongue.gif

For me, the toughest CD to label with a best song.  Open Secrets - for anyone who has hit that stage in a relationship.  God I love this CD!  I can't believe some people label it as Rush's worst (if such an animal really exists).  I take it back - Open Secrets is not the best song on this CD.  The CD is "one best song."

My second favorite album... Right behind Grace Under Pressure. I know a lot of fans really dislike it but I love it. So once again it was a tough choice for me. I went with Lock and Key, but I love every song on the album.

It was hard to choose between Force Ten, Open Secrets and Turn the Page.  I picked Turn the Page.  "Truth is so poorly lit."

here's the first time in the 80's that rush made anything close to a bad song imho, that being both high water and tai shan, but besides that the album is flawless, and the highest peak of their use of technology, strong enough that it caused a backlash that them pretty much abandon them entirely soon afterwards.  while the rest of the album is superlative, prime mover has always been my fave...

I like Lock and Key the most because if its 80s hard rock style. All the rest of the album seems soft with only synthesizers to provide the lead tunes. However, Lock and Key has more hard guitar leads to it.

I really like the instrumental break that fades out the end of the song on Open Secrets.Very cool bass guitar jamming and drum interaction.

High Water has some really good, heavy guitar in it, which always draws me too it first when i stick the album on.

Thai Shan.
The sog whitch get me hooked to Rush.
Fantastic melody and I can see the view from the moountain everytime I hear the song.

Mission is close to be #1.

I used to think my favorite was High Water.  But 2 weeks ago I actually was lucky enough to go to Tai Shan in China.  And, being up there, just made that song make even more sense.  Peart couldn't have described that mountain any better.  I highly recommend ALL Rush fans to get out there.  It's a bit of a task(in so many different ways) but it's all worth it.
