Too many greats are left out

Entwistle gets my pick, but Steve Harris and Cliff Burton deserve thier attention as well.

Harris and Burton are two of my favs.

Besides Geddy of course smile.gif

Of those two I have to go with Harris only because without him Maiden will not go on he is the back bone of the band.

Burton was a master who died way before his time.

Like many people here, Ged is one of my favourite bassists. However, one of my other faves has got to be Greg Lake - some of the stuff he did on Tarkus and Brain Salad Surgery is absolutely phenomenal. Add top that the fact that he could switch from bass to guitar in an instant.

I miss Glenn Bary of Kamelot and Marco Hietala of Nightwish..what about Ollie of Rammstein, and someone I can highly recommend: Barend Courbois, he's one of the most fabous bassists in our country, and I'm proud to call him a good friend of mine!

This is him:

Uumm, where's Victor Wooten???????

Oh and BTW, Roger Waters barely played any of the bass lines on their most popular songs. David Gilmour played them because Roger was too f*cked up.

Agreed on Wooten and Waters. And as much as I love Kansas, when I think of the best bassists, I don't think of Billy Greer. He's certainly capable, but not in the same company as the best on that list. And where's Flea? AND......where's Jaco?????
