Marathon. It's always been Marathon for me. I can spend hours really getting into any one of the songs on this album - memorizing every niche... but it always comes back to Marathon.

btw - Mystic Rhythms is tops as well.

Not much to add here except the songs that I could care less if I never heard again. They are Grand Designs and Territories (Sorry RR). I can't say anything bad about the songs, the just don't demand my attention - and there are too many others that do.

"We sometimes catch a window, a glimpse of what's beyond."

I love Mystic Rhythms. I got hooked on this song when my aunt's next door neighbor let me borrow A Show of Hands. The ASOH version is the best I've heard. I remember staring out the window as a kid daydreaming (sometimes I got yelled at for not paying attention lol).

i'm surprised more people haven't chosen territories. while big money is an obvious classic, territories just has that something extra - a complexity and deeply meaningful lyrics that has always made it a standout for me...

My high school yearbook quote was from Territories:

"Better the pride that resides

In a citizen of the world

Than the pride that divides

When a colourful rag is unfirled"

That song means a lot to me. I graduated in 2002, so 9/11 handnt been too long ago. It disgusted me at all the drunken patriotism that occured in this country after 9/11. It just looks like friendly fascism to me. To me, our national pride has only divided us from the rest of the world, if not from ourselves.
