Even though I'm mega-excited Rush are in the RRHOF, obviously the organization is still deeply flawed, both because of how long it took them to get nominated, as well as all the bands that deserve to be in and STILL aren't.

Here's a list of all the bands that are already in: http://rockhall.com/...s/alphabetical/

Name your top 5-10 bands that NEED to be in the RRHOF for them to enter full legitimacy.

Go for doing it in order of who deserves it the most, not necessarily in order of personal favorites:

1. The Moody Blues
2. Yes
3. Deep Purple
4. Kiss
5. Cat Stevens
6. Jethro Tull
7. Tangerine Dream
8. King Crimson
9. Brian Eno

There are other bands/artists I think richly deserve it that don't have a reasonable shot, like Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, Can, Popol Vuh, Cocteau Twins, etc., but they deserve it as much as anyone else on that list.  If those 9 bands/artists on my list were inducted, however, I'd consider them to have inducted all the major bands/artists who deserve it and really NEED to be in.

same bands everyone else wants: king crimson, yes, deep purple, priest, maiden, etc, and I suppose if madonna's in there they can squeeze in kate bush since her music is actually good...

also a whole slew of punk bands that aren't the ramones or the clash, and therefore unheard of by RNRHOF folks

since last year they threw in red hot chili peppers as a nod to "alternative" music, i suppose it's about time sonic youth got their due

Been in RRHOF means exactly the same than winning a Grammy or an American Music Award: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!

And i know the guys in Rush are too polite and laid back to ever do somthing like this, but how i wish they would just send a letter to whoever decide who enters and who does´t in the gigantic joke that the RRHOF just saying: "Take that induction and shove it up your ***!!! That would be hilarious.

I suppose we could all throw in a couple of bands we really love, but who aren't in the Hall.  But, frankly, it is a crime that Deep Purple and Kiss aren't and I would think everyone can agree that, even if you don't like those two bands, their influence on rock music has been huge.
