Excited for Losing It, Manhattan Project, Second Nature - I can take it or leave it
I love Marathon - possibly my favorite track post MP, but we just got it last tour - don't need it again
Rush should base their setlist on standards that they have to play and what hasn't been released on video or cd - just my opinion
I don't want swapped out tracks - I don't want to be there on a night where Clockwork Angels or The Anarchist is not on the rotation
Nobody's Hero - I like it, but I've heard it too many times and Animate I just find boring live
It kind of looks like this is going to be a more mellow show than in the past if this is all correct
We need FOH Lights to verify smile.gif

Second Nature? Really?

I never thought they'd choose that one. But I definitely like the song

That would be great because I love that song. Of course, it would be the first time they ever played it. They didn't play it on the HYF tour.

Yeah I can see it working out pretty well with strings.

I'm thinking Far Cry is the opener too, actually.

I can see Nobody's Hero for Andrew.

For years (or tours), it seems there has been a balance between what they "have" to play and what they "want" to play.  This could certainly be a sign that the scales are tipping towards "want".

Also, the reality is that the guys are getting older.  People tend to mellow as they get older.  view life through different lenses then they did 10, 20 years before.  SO while at first it surprised me to hear a song like Second Nature being thrown around, with a little thinking, it kind of makes sense.  THerefore, it doesn't surprise me to hear that more "mellow" songs would be included in the setlist.

Swapping out?  Of course.  It keeps the grind fresh and challenging.  It's what they want to do as opposed to what they should do.

Remember, this isn't about you, me, or the person in the seats.   We are just along for the ride.  This has always been the unwritten contract.  If you don't like it, you can go listen to other bands or go to other shows.  We the fan accept that they are going to do what they want to do and we have the choice to accept it or move on and they are perfectly fine with that.  They don't try to hold on to us with fancy gimmicks or witty advertising.

We are free to leave at any time....

I think it's great! Those songs would be good for the orchestra to be playing.

The drum solo is probably part of headlong flight.

Power Windows yes, Counterparts, not so much. And of course, Hold Your Fire is being represented here thankfully.

farcryoverspilledmilk - thank you for the update.

I am grateful my favourite band is still on top of the world...and touring.

I'll be enjoying the Atlanta show.
