FAVORITE FOOD:
Roladen or Sauerbraten

exfrickinsqueezeme?

German food Goobs--try these dishes.

Roladen--beef cutlet pounded flat, very thin, rolled with pickle, not much, just a sliver, sometimes bacon inside. the rolades are often tied together with string...AWESOME

Sauerbraten--Pork roast, better than a pot roast IMO. My mother soaks the roast for 2 days in a brine beforehand...served with bavarian dumplings.

It all sounds good except the pickle part (with meat) sounds a little suspect to me. Doesn't mean I wouldn't try it though! no.gif

I know its not conventional, but it really provides a wonderful contrast to the rich beef. My mom (Mutti in german) serves it with a rich gravy. German potatos (which are basically fried with bacon, salt pepper), and red cabbage.

do yourself a favor Gary--find a german resturant and give it a shot...you'll love it!

You and your wife would be welcome...hope you don't mind wine and beer, because carrot juice would not go well with these dishes. Then I could show you my phaser collection laugh.gif

Do you guys hike? It is great to walk the woods, got a cave to take ya'll in (for real, like Llimestone stalagtites in there), and there are deer, turkey, a bear sighting every now and then. Now the big question: can you handle the boys?--7 and 4 years old. Maybe you could be they're Uncle Goobs laugh.gif trink39.gif

I Love You, Man is a close second to Superbad.

And can Chewbacca really be called a man? I guess there aren't many historical film precedents to tell us whether the love between man and wookie can technically be referred to as a "bromance." unsure.gif
