That one had at all - horror, comedy, romance - all in one twisted cool movie. The humor in that movie, however, was entirely intentional. circumstantial tree Posted August 30, 2012 Share Posted August 30, 2012 Overall, I'd say the original "Stepford Wives" (1975) as being unintentionally funny which may be why the remake came across as more of a comedy or spoof. If anybody has ever seen the original, then you might recall the neighbor Carol Van Sant who was never quite put together correctly. "I'll just die if I don't get this recipe......I'll just die if I don't get this recipe......I'll just die if I don't get this recipe." One particular scene in Amityville 2: The Possession when the priest is trying to exorcise the demon from the boy and his sister's face appears and making sexual advances for the "dirty priest". Naturally, the friend-turned-robot turns homocidal. Swanson walks around killing people, saying "Beep Beep" and holding her arms out in a comically stereotypical "robot" pose.
