Dude, that's hilarious because THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME. My name is Jason also and Neil mis-spelled my name as "Jayson" when he sign one of his books I sent. Funny and unique, sort of. |
Well I checked via Google! It is a valid alternate to the spelling! I guess if someone told him to make it out to Jason, but not knowing which spelling to use, than it is correct! So it's not a matter of "he can't spell!", just a different way I guess! New one for me!

Has anybody tried the Wells Fargo Center in Philly for autographs? I would love to get either my CD signed or maybe even go out and get the vinyl copy! Should I contact public relations, marketing, or human resources at the venue? Or none of the above and its another section? (They have so many phone numbers...) |
Has anybody tried this? I am considering sending something prior to the show in October...

Yep! The Columbus, Ohio show! If I got something back, I'm sure yours is right behind it! |
My Clockwork Angels tourbook arrived today from Columbus Ohio, signed by all 3! I mailed it 6 days before the show and they told me it would get there in 3 days with priority mail, which only cost slightly more than regular mail. What's interesting is that when I called the venue to see if they did this I was connected to security and they told me they didn't, but after reading your post that said you called and was told that they would give it to the band I figured I'd try anyway, so I guess it depends on who you speak to at the venue. Thanks to everyone on this thread for their help, after much time guesting/lurking I finally decided to register and post!

Yea, it's the icing on the cake for me to have their signatures, after attending the show!
Not to mention I have been trying for years to get their autographs!

I then put two albums in a box and had it weighed at the post office. They put postage on it and gave me the return postage and mailing label. I put it in an envelope with instructions and placed it in the box and mailed the whole thing to the venue.
I mailed it to the attention of the artist liaison as well as Rush.
It worked for me. Best of luck to you all.

It's really cool that Geddy, Neil, and Alex take the time to sign stuff for their fans. I can't think of any other band of their status that would do this.

My 8x10 I got back from the Indy show. It's from the 2008 tour. I'm in the front row, just to the left of Neil's head, in the gray shirt.

I've gotten the address of the arena they're going to. Who do I address it to? Rush? Or to someone else who will give it to them? I plan on just sending my CD album sleeves and asking for signature on for me and another signature for a friend as a gift. I wanted the sleeves signed so I'd at least still own the album, or should I just send everything? I still got 6 days to send it out. |
I sent mine to...
Rush / Liam Birt (Tour Manager)
C/O Venue
Street Address
City/State/Zip
Be sure to enclose a return envelope with appropriate postage for the item to be mailed back to you.
Make sure you use stamps and not prepaid postal sticker from the post office or it may not find it's way back to you.
I would recommend that you don't send anything you can't live without.
The signing depends on whether the venue will, in fact, forward to the band and if the band has time enough in their schedule that day to sign the item.
Also, when you send multiple items only one items tends to get signed.
...all the best and be sure to post the photo of what you receive back here.

I sent out a cd insert to the Bridgeport, CT show. Yesterday I was real excited to see that it was sitting in my mailbox. It was signed by Neil and Alex which is awesome, but it would be incredible to have Geddy's signature on it as well. Has this happened to anyone? If so, has anyone tried to send it to another venue to get the missing members signature?
Thanks!
Gary
