invisible airwave
New York Stories is an obvious one considering many great Scorsese and Allen films take place in New York. Hell, most great crime drams come to mind especially Sidney Lumet classics like Serpico,Dog Day Afternoon and Before The Devil Knows You're Dead. ReRushed
I love the gritty and dirty NYC films from the '70s, most of which have already been mentioned, I would like to add The Seven-Ups. And The Odd Couple.

GeddyRulz
Manhattan, Annie Hall, Husbands and Wives, almost any Woody Allen film. (The cinematography gives NYC a "romantic" look.) When Harry Met Sally (ditto) Saturday Night Fever (The cinematography gives NYC a realistic, "gritty," pre-Koch/pre-Guliani look, when the city was more "dangerous.") The Warriors (ditto, plus it's got Coney Island) The "look" of the city in those movies makes me want to MOVE to Manhattan.
