Not gonna lie, I actually like RTB. The rapping in title track is cheesy, I will admit Neurotica has one of the lamest choruses ever, I'm not sure what they were trying to do with YBYL, but every song on that album hooks me in one way or another. I really don't understand the hate for Face Up either. It's a real catchy song IMO. I enjoy Rush too, it's a great summertime album.

I voted Vapor Trails simply because it's the only album that is just painful for me to listen to all the way through. But there are still a handful of goods songs on it. T4E would be my second choice. It's funny though, because two of my top 20ish favorite songs are from VT and T4E, but overall the albums just kinda suck.

But  2.gif running away with it with 14 votes???? This poll is fuckked up!

It's not only one of my fave Rush albums (top 10 for sure) but one of my favorite rock albums in general - just raw, blistering, fun, explosive rock & roll in its purest form. Maybe that's why certain Rush fans hate it confused13.gif .

I happen to like all the albums to some extent but for me it's got to be Roll The Bones.

WTF?! How is Test for Echo, from their worst decade ever, have the same amount of votes as Rush, which includes Working Man and In the Mood?!

Sometimes, I really don't get what's going in peoples' heads from this forum...

Lol are you kidding me?besides in the mood and working man the album isn't that good and it's not "real" Rush

It is "real" Rush, and I "really" love it.

Yeah, you're right coke. It's not real Rush. Many of the most hardcore fans do not know this bit of trivia:

Lifeson and Lee didn't really become Lifeson and Lee until Peart joined. Before that they were Aleksander Zivojenovese and Gary Wineribspecial performing in a little known band called "Ruskie." Ruskie's first album brought the band onto American airwaves with the help of Cleveland radio dj Donna Halper. After Ruskie's original drummer left the band, Neil Peart was auditioned and asked to join immediately. It was THEN that Zivojenovese and Wineribspecial devised the clever monikers "Alex Lifeson" and "Geddy Lee" AND, more importantly, the band's more commonly-known name: 2.gif .

Thank you coke for reminding us of this little known piece of rock history. yes.gif

why the hell would anyone vote for the debut?

Probably because they're new wave/dance/alt rock bandwagon fans who think Presto is the best album...

you won't get any argument from me - 2.gif is in their top ten - a GREAT and super fun album! they've done so, so much worse than that one.
