Strong album with many good choices, most of the songs take you away to some other place with the lyrics and music.  But The Camera Eye is just the place that I liked the most to be taken away to, dunno how else to describe it.

"YYZ" is the epitome of Rush's instrumental virtuosity.

The camery eye is a weird one, so I pick that.
The whole album is fantastic. Again only one choice.

This album is perfect. All of these songs have been my favorite from time to time. Camera Eye had occupied this spot for me recently, but that has since changed and now Witch Hunt seems to resonate with me these days. Partly because my band Trilogy has recently performed both, but I understand why Geddy doesn't want to play it. From a bass and keyboard standpoint TCE is a bit boring. Witch Hunt is a bit more challenging, but the lyrical content rings especially true in trying times (such as these).

Honorable mention to Vital Signs, partly because it was the first Rush song I recorded all of the parts to myself, and also because it points the way Rush went with their music through the 80s.

Really tough choice.  Wanted to vote for like four songs here.  Went with YYZ.  Red Barchetta was a very close second.  bncegrn.gif

Like everybody, I've got mixed feelings - looks like voting for VS was deviating from the norm.

The Camera Eye
Grim faced and forbidding, there faces closed tight, an angular mass of New Yorkers.pacing in rythem, race the oncoming night, they chase through the streets of Manhatten.head first humanity pause at a light then flow through the streets of the city
