Are you familiar enough with their style and genre to be aware if they are even bad at what they do? Coz they are a terrific band and very fun. And you don't need to be big to get on that show. It's really doesn't mean a thing to get a shout out on there. The show was entertaining when they had a good guest on but let's not try to pretend it was some leading authority on what was hip in the genre. Amon Amarth have a good following among the metal community but it doesn't go further than that. They can draw a thousand people to a show and get their new album to sell 20,000 copies in the US upon release. So, I can see why someone might think they're popular.
