Circumstances is a great song, I play jazz guitar and after a while I tried something different and learned this song on the guitar.

Sweet, I just made it a tie between Hemis and La Villa.  biggrin.gif

The title track was the first ever Rush song I listened to (and no, it did not happen in the late seventies but last September! LOL) so I suppose it will always be a bit special for that reason alone. Plus it is a musical and compositional (umm, is that a word?  wacko.gif ) masterpiece. It has everything.

QUOTE (BSG @ Aug 24 2004, 08:02 AM)
Great album. All great songs, but the title track epic, "Cygnus X-1, Book II"  is their best work ever IMO.

it's not just your opinion BSG, it is a fact that Cygnus X-1, Book II is their best work ever. It is simply brilliant!!  yes.gif  new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

I had a VERY hard time deciding this one...it was between Hemispheres, The Trees and La Villa....But The Trees WAS the first Rush song I ever learned how to play, and still is one of my favorites to play on my classical smile.gif  So I had to go with that one smile.gif

This album was never one of my faves for whatever reason.  But in the past 2 months, I've had it on nearly constant spin in my car.  I'm hooked.

The lyrics, the sounds, OMG.  Its now my favorite album.

VERY tough call, I love all of the songs on this album.  I have to go with The Trees for as my vote.  La Villa Strangiato was such a close 2nd though. Such a tough call!!!

Well, since I gotta choose I'll go with The Trees. I think it's the best musical allegory of all time.
