8.  That rating is mostly for Closer to the heart and Xanadu.  Oh and I quite like Cinderella Man.  The rest is ok.  Cygnus....... schla03.gif

Cygnus bumps this down from a 10 to a 9 for me.

Shame on you, len.

If the only song on it was Xanadu, it would deserve more than a ten.

I'd like to know who gave it a one so that I can :smash: .

Agreed, but CTTH and Madrigal keep it from a 10 for me.

But Xanadu makes up plenty for what they lack.

I wish they had made these polls open so I could see who the tin ear brigade is.

7—Xanadu and Cygnus X-1 are phenomenal, and CTTH is nice, but the rest…not so much.

Absolute 10.  IMO easily the best album of the 70s/progressive era and second favorite Rush album all time behind Signals. Has it all, including my all time favorite Rush song (along with subdivisions) Xanadu.

Even like Madrigal, as a quiet prelude before the fury of Cygnus.

5/10.

Xanadu remains one of the band's crowning achievements, and the title track and Cygnus are decent tunes.

The studio version of CTTH is awful, and Cinderella Man and Madrigal are terrible.

I don't think anything is a 10, so I voted 9. This is pretty close though. Madigral is just okay, but I absolutely love the other 5 songs, including Cinderella Man.

For me it's a very strong 7 towards an 8.  I do think Cinderella Man is quite underrated though.
