So what's everyone doing pre-show?  trink39.gif

Hey, I'm going with 4 friends of mine (one who is an old childhood friend who lives in Texas who is flying up for the show - we haven't seen each other for over 30 years!  So Psyched!).  Anyway I live just south of downtown Mpls and have a HUGE 2 story garage that is great for parties and listening to music (LOUD!  Just got a new subwoofer...).  I will be taking the day of the show and the day after off of work and I intend to have my friends over the afternoon before the show to listen to/watch Rush DVD's (and the CA album, of course).  It's likely we will actually listen to the set list once or twice through before leaving for the show.  We'll probably grill up some grub and have a few beers.  I'm not interested in having a HUGE party but if anyone else has the day free and wants to join us let me know.

Were those the result of the Citi presale?  I'm just wondering if anything good came up in the Citi presale for this show.

Unlike posts from other venues, where some people were able to score tickets in the first 10 or 15 rows using MT presales, I haven't heard any reports of this at the Target Center.

Hey.  Just joined TRF last weekend so wasn’t here for the discussions when tix were on sale.  Thought I would let you know I got very good seats through the Citi presale.  Me and my friends weren’t really interested in floor seats.  No interest in paying $300-$500 per ticket to end up 20 rows back looking over a forest of heads.  We wanted seats in the lower rows of the lower bowl sections off Alex’s side of the stage (112 or 111).  Because we were looking for 5 tix this was limiting the options I was finding when I was doing my initial searches.  I knew the rows were alphabetical and, after several searches, I suddenly saw 5 tix for section 111, row 4, and I quickly grabbed them.  It wasn’t until after I completed the transaction that I realized – the tix I bought were for numbered not alphabetical rows.  Then I looked at the fine print which stated “seats are in the riser sections, chairs are padded folding chairs”.  That’s when I realized our seats weren’t actually in the permanent lower bowl seating at all!  They were on the risers between the permanent lower bowl seating and the floor seats!  Perfect!  Better than I had hoped for!  So we’ll basically be just above the folks on the floor (even if they’re all standing) and looking right over everyone’s heads and pretty much right at stage level!  We’ll likely be about 25 yards from the stage.  Awesome!  I’m so stoked...

That's pretty much standard on every ticket for every show these days, no?

It certainly shouldn't a surprise.

Good! I love audio and/or video of shows I have attended when they get made available. Only one I have had no luck finding is the Winnipeg show in May 2008.

I may also have an extra ticket.  Section 111 - bleacher seats between the permanent lower bowl seating and the floor seats.  A buddy of mine got a job out of town and isn;t sure if he can go.  But I don;t have an answer for sure yet.

Is the Target Center a good venue?  I'm debating whether or not to add it to my list of shows.   My seat location doesn't matter at this point.  Just looking for any negatives if they exist...

Xcel Energy Center is a far superior venue for concerts. Maybe there was an event conflict there? They played there last tour, so I'm wondering why the Target Center this time?

I've been there once, during the Vapor Trails tour.  The sound was pretty poor at the start, but it seemed to get better as the show went on.  Or maybe it was my ears going numb..... tongue.gif
