Been to Pine Knob before on VT or R30. Drove up from Indy. Totally enjoyed myself. Haven't been to the Palace though.

The Palace is a great venue, don't get me wrong, but my favorite is dte (Pine Knob.) There is nothing like an outdoor concert with great sound.  The "Tweeter Center" outside Chicago is another excellent venue for concerts...

have fun! I've seen them there a good dozen or so times since 1987...

If anybody is still looking for tickets, I just looked at TicketMaster and row 5 from the floor in Sect. 114 came up in pairs and row 2 in singles.  A decent seat at face value...

Rock on!

If anybody is still looking for tickets...

I just shelled out for TM Platinum seats so now have an extra pair for the Detroit show.  Sec. C, row 6, toward the outside aisle.  I'll sell them for more than face but less than VIP or Platinum.  PM to discuss the details.

Rock on!

MOD EDIT:  You can try to sell your tickets here, but you CAN NOT sell them for more than face value.  We do not allow that on TRF.

We should totally have some girly hang out time before the show  yes.gif

I have zero female friends who listen to Rush, it's quite sad. Where's your seat? I'm about 20 rows back on the floor

I have LOTS of female friends that love Rush!  You clearly need new female friends! biggrin.gif

We'll definitely pregame before the show... we are in lower bowl, prolly 13 rows up - I'm too short for main floor unless I am up front and those seats are outta my price range. eh.gif

Permanent Waves tour was at Joe Louis Arena.
If you saw them at Cobo it was probably on Hemispheres.

Actually...  On aug 27, 1979 rush played some dates as a permanent waves warmup tour at cobo hall, then sept 10 they played at pine knob. They played spirit of radio on those dates.  On feb 19 1980, they played at joe louis and was actually the very first rock concert at the hockey arena.  ' I saw them for  the first time at joe louis nov 7th 1982 on signals tour.k

I've never been to the Palace before. I went to Toledo for the Time Machine Tour, and it was an awesome experience. If decent tickets are more expensive here in Michigan, I'll probably be going to Ohio again.

If all works well, though, I'd be interested in meeting up. I live in Lincoln Park, for those of you familiar with the downriver area, or two exits south of Detroit, for those who aren't. I'll be bringing my mom, my best friend/guitarist, and little sister. I got my mom into Rush but she didn't get to go last time, as she could only afford two tickets and she sent me and my best friend. This time, I'm treating her! It will also be my sister's first show, so hopefully I'll make a fan of her yet!  smile.gif

I recommend skipping Ohio and meeting up and going to the palace show.  The Palace is considered one of the top venues in the country.  You should meet Sundog. She's the nicest lady you'll ever meet. I work in wyandotte and live in taylor, so I'm right by you and it would be a huge injustice to yourself by going to toledo instead of auburn hills.  Step outside your comfort zone and meet Jen, digi and the rest of the gang. You'll be glad you did.

FYI:  geddys bass technician lives right in lincoln park, if you didn't know. He went to school with a co-worker of mine... wink.gif

This will be my second Rush show! I am so excited, you have no idea!!! common001.gif

The Palace is an amazing venue. I was half-deaf by the time I left, but since it was Rush causing me to go half-deaf, I did not mind it much. biggrin.gif

It's a tad out of the way if coming from the south but my group will be pregaming  in Clarkston.   Going to be either at the Woodshop or the Clarkston Union a block away.   Union will have 40 taps going if you're looking for some great craft beers.   Woodshop has great BBQ with a few crafts on tap.    Huge bar area upstairs at the Woodshop if the back bar area is crowded on the main floor.  The Union has a secret basement bar if you have a big group.    Both places were featured on Guy Fieris show last year with Kid Rock.    trink39.gif
