Greetings Net Boys and Net Girls,

Looks like I'm driving from New Jersey to Pittsburgh for my first show on this tour...very excited.

I just saw Van Halen at Consol Arena and it was a great place to see a show and a great crowd.

Pittsburgh is a classic rock kind of town and I can't wait to see them in the city where Neil first performed live with the band.

Also can't wait to meet some my Steel Town Rush brothers and sisters there as well as well.

I was at that Van Halen show also, Consol is a good venue.  The venue of Neil's first show is gone now tho..nothing but a big hole in the ground.

Yeah, it was half torn down when I was there...something rather sad about that to me. I saw Cheap Trick there as well.

I will say, again, the Pittsburgh crowd for Van Halen was amazing!

I'm really looking forward to driving the route 80 west, 79 south drive back to the 'burgh.

Not to mention football season will have started by then, and there are no other fans or city more in love with their team than Pittsburgh Steeler fans.

Got Section 101 Row L Seats 13 & 14. Very happy - my boyfriend didn't want to be on the floor for all shows, it's on Geddy's side, and only one section back! icon_alienjig.gif

Buffalo, NY is where I was born but have seen most of my Rush shows in Pittsburgh, PA (NY, NJ, OH - states I have attended Rush shows).  Have to say that TM show was AWESOME from 3rd row and it should have been filmed in Pittsburgh given the history.

Was sad lookingg across the street to see Civic Arena looking quiet and dead.

Will be back in September to initaite a new Rush member and soon to be Mrs. (day after Rush show in Buffalo).

Leaving the 9-yr old with Nan and Pap - she really hates me cos this is the second concert that I am not taking her to (she cried when I told her that I was taking her Mom to see Iron Maiden and not her).

Later.....

Thanks for the invite! I think I have a meetup in the works for TGIFriday's before the show, but if we get done early enough, maybe we can stop by! Is this an in-the-parking-lot tailgate?

Us Pittsburgh folk are very good at their tailgates.

I'm determined to get in some pre-game festivities this time as I completely missed all the warm ups last year at Consol.

TGIF is right next to the Consol?  between the consol and hotel?

For those driving and parking, I suggest the Duquesne University parking garages on 5th Ave instead of the lots by the old arena; took me 40 minutes to get out of the Melody Tent lot after Van Halen, parked at Duquesne the other night and was out of there and on the parkway in no time.  The cost was the same and the walking distance is only a wee bit more from the garages.

Help! Does anyone know if floor seats closest to the stage in Consol are double lettered or single? There are platinum seats on the floor that are Row C, but I have no idea if that's 3rd or 29th, and no search brings up any details...I want these if they're 3rd row, but not 29th.

I was 2nd row in Pittsburgh last time around and the row was a single B.

Hope that helps.
