Probably closer to 45 minutes without traffic. But plan on some concert traffic that evening.

Thank you.

Good news is that the show is a Sunday and therefore no Rush (no pun intended) hour traffic to deal with. I've never had a problem with event traffic, but I also tend to get there plenty early to allow for maximum tailgating.

Also agree with 45 minutes as a good estimate.

I'm a frequent visitor to the area but have not attended this venue before. Any parking tips or is it pretty much see a spot take it?

Was going to attend this show but there's nothing really different from the last one, imo. When Rush steps up their game I'll see them again. If they quit touring soon I couldn't care less.

Typically at Jiffy Lube Live, they have attendents in the parking lots and they tell you where to park

Is tailgating within reason overlooked or frowned upon? Not that I'll be able to bring much in a 2 seat drop top, but a cooler and chairs seem to be in order.

Last 3 Rush shows at Jiffy Lube, we have had a pretty decent tailgate. See page 2 of this thread for pictures of said tailgates. I plan on tailgating hard once again.

Thanks man, I appreciate the info We're driving up in a 'vette so a small cooler and a couple bag chairs is all we have room for, We'll skimp on the ice to cram more beer in the cooler..lol. Enjoy the show and thanks again.

Last year JLL raised a controversy by intorducing a policy to ban all tailgating. There was quite a bit of resistance by local patrons (even a FB page was created to denounce the decision). In the end JLL relented and lifted the complete ban, but stating NO ALCOHOL among the parts of the policy that would remain.

I've been to several shows at JLL this year already, and if you keep the alcohol "on the down low" you should be fine. The parking attendants are in control of where you park, just go with the flow and get "racked and stacked" like everyone else driving in. Park and wait a minute until they are gone and you can commence tailgating.

My wife and I have attended every Rush show at NP/JLL since it was built in the 90's and are going to try to hook up with you guys this time around. It would be nice to meet some new Rush fans. Until then.... http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/cool.gif

Nothing really different, OK..... except NEW MUSIC AND PRODUCTION!!!

So, why did you feel the need to post this? Is adding a LIVE STRING SECTION not qualify as "stepping up their game" (in terms of live production)? New album released, new tour, new production..... Really?

PSEUDO-OFFICIAL MEETUP instructions:

As a creature of habit, I propose that we do the same thing the last 3 shows and meet-up at the Giant Grocery Store parking lot 30 minutes prior to when the parking lot opens up. For instance, if the lots open at 5pm, we will meetup at 4:30. I sent an email to LiveNation asking this question, but they have not responded.

Obviously people can get beer, ice, etc... at the grocery store. There is also a liquor store in the same parking lot (for those not familiar with VA liquor laws, you can get beer/wine pretty much anywhere but liquor only in liquor stores). Once everyone is accounted for or 4:55 (depending on lot opening time) roles around, we will then CARAVAN together to the venue. As mentioned in prior posts, experience with this venue is that they tell you where to park. Therefore, we have no prior knowledge of where we will be parking so it would be futile to tell people now where we will be. I will also try to get 3 helium balloons and tie them to the car when we get to the venue for those who can not make the early meet-up but want to join us later.

I will make another post in a sec with a map of both Jiffy Lube and the Giant.

Please respond to this email to let us know if you:

a - plan on meeting us at the Giant and want to park/tailgate together

b - probably won't make it to the early meetup but would like to join us later for tailgating

c - play it by ear. Would like to join up but not exactly sure if the logistics will work out.

Also, if you would like, send me a pm and we can exchange cell phone numbers as backup if you cannot find us.

As workingman stated, please don't have open alcohol and get security all upset. Simply pour drinks into a cup and we should be fine.

Hopefully SteelCaressed will be bringing a grill again and we do some cooking out. So please bring drinks and possibly something to throw on the grill (keeping in mind that we may not be able to grill so I wouldn't bring real expensive steaks and have them go to waste).

Cheers http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/trink39.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/653.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/yes.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/common001.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/1287.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/cheer.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/applaudit.gif

Row "Life"??? WTF is that???

Row L is where we'll be!

3 rows will separate us, Rider. That's close enough for me to throw junk at you during the show.
