maybe that bastille day-like riff IS headlong flight...i just think there are bits of other songs in there..."album trailer"...no language in any of the press or in the title of the video explicitly indicating that the clip is headlong flight...if it was, why wouldn't there be?

Rich Chycki confirmed on RIAB that it's HF all the way through.

Its terrible but its just a cover. Not too important.

I actually still like it...BUT...like I mentioned when it first appeared, I would've liked to see it without any names or writing on it.

At any ate, I think it sounds awesome, but I also think the other two songs are awesome as well- this sounds like its a similar caliber to me.

And for the record, I was never disappointed bu Far Cry after the teaser- I think it's one of the best songs they've ever recorded and I remember listening to it over and over again, ecstatic that they could still make such great music (I was expecting more VT, which I did not like).

So interesting that you say that.

 

My wife, who prefers pop to classic or progressive rock, gave the Rush clip a listen and commented that it was excellent.

 

She went onto suggest that the clip packs a ton of adrenaline, and said it sounds like it would nicely complement a Mission Impossible type movie.

 

Hadn't really occured to me, but I can see how some might feel that way about it.

I think can anyone can submit lyrics on those sites. Sounds like too many awkwardly longish words...even for Neil. Not bad at all though. I wonder if that set of lyrics has an actual chorus.

Get me M Knight Shyamalan, Michael Bay, the cast from stargate, the guy who played Gandalf and a famous steampunk author. It's time we took back our imaginations!
