Solid album (7), but I enjoyed it much more back in the 90's.  The "singles" (Stick it out, Nobody's Hero) are fairly average/obnoxious.

I love CTTC, BTS&M, and Animate.

Double Agent, Alien Shore and Cold Fire are fine.

Leave that speed of love alone.. stinks.

It's still my favorite Rush album since the mid 80s.  Love the stripped down arrangements, playing, and perfect production.  Crystal clear and with punch.  I can see where people who obsess about lyrics would be irritated by Neil trying to get in touch with his feminine side, but I listen more for the music and Counterparts featured some of their best jams in a long time.

To me, this album is worthy, except for two songs.

I like it a lot. My rate is 9.

A fair review.  The album is great-sounding, musically.

A flawed return to form, but a welcome return nonetheless.

Lyrically & production wise, Everyday Glory sounds really out of place on that album. Like a leftover from the RTB sessions. And I like that song. It just doesn't go with the theme of the rest of the record and the bass is noticeably louder than the other songs and Alex's guitar is drenched in Presto/RTB Rupert Hine era reverb
