Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf, quarterbacks drafted 1 and 2 in round 1 in 1998...

Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III, quarterbacks (almost certainly will be) drafted 1 and 2 in round 1 in 2012.

Will things work out for Luck and RGIII anything like Manning and Leaf?

My prediction:

Luck will be a consistent QB but will have a career that falls well short of Manning's.

RG III is tougher. With the Skins sending so many picks away, such a meddling owner making bad personnel moves, and Shanahan being both borderline psychotic and having a son who doesn't seem to have earned his position, I can see RG III being ruined, in a way not too dissimilar to Jason Campbell. But he may have such transcendent talent that he can overcome the many things he has stacked against him and succeed anyway. It's too bad he didn't go to a more functional franchise, I would put the chances of his success much higher.

In any case, the guy will NOT be Ryan Leaf off the field.

I think Ryan Tannehill is gonna be the old Matt Moore! wacko.gif

I'm hoping more for the old Colt McCoy.

The Browns do seem to be looking closely at Tannehill, right after assuring McCoy that he was safe as their starter...

They shouldn't draft him, but they probably will, I expect them to pick him in the first round too, but they shouldn't draft him till round 2 at the earliest...
