That song is AMAZING!

I love the whole album.

My second/third choice would have been:

I love this album, as it is filled with my favorites. but #1 is Cinderella Man.

They can't understand
What it means
Cinderella Man
Hang on to your plans
Try as they might
They cannot steal your dreams

A Farewell to Kings because it is so complicated but sounds so smooth, and I love Alex's classical playing. Plus, there are better live versions of both Xanadu and Cygnus, IMO.

For me the choice was between AFTK and Xanadu.
I love how Xanadu takes me to another place so it gets the nod.
I feel like I travelled on a long journey when it ends.

This is one of my favourite albums, Xanadu is incredible, and Closer to the Heart, Cygus and the title track are great too. My personal fave though is the underrated Cinderella Man and that gets my vote!!!

Love hearing Xanadu at hockey games, but I'll vote for Closer to the Heart as the better song.

Xanadu - great on the album and Alex breaks out the white doubleneck live. What more could you ask for? It's a double neck. No one plays those anymore.

Closer to the Heart; it's our (mein and 08leader's) song. wub.gif  A close second is Madrigal, but I can't hack and vote twice; that's just mean, and beyond my computing capacity anyway...

Okay, so I was only 7 during the tour and didn't attend... but I have a replica shirt from the 77-78 Farewell Tour for one reason:  Xanadu.

Yes, Closer to the Heart is a crowd and billboard favorite and it's always interesting to see how the boys mix it up during the jam session when they do play it live, but hearing Xan live on R30 was the equivalent of an eternity in the Pleasure Dome.
