I had it once. Didn't seem too bad. Wasn't much different than Chinese or Thai. and I love Thai!

Thai food is genius!

If the Indian food you had "wasn't much different" than Chinese or Thai, then that Indian food wasn't proper. Indian food is to Chinese as Japanese is to Vietnamese ((i.e. world's apart)). Just sayin'

I actually prefer poori to naan (it's fluffier).

I could eat my weight in bhajis and samosas. Garam masala is one of my very favorite spice combinations.

Good point about the poori. Now that you mention it, when I get lamb korma I tend to go with poori.

I had not even thought to mention samosa's. Yum.

Their is a good Indian restaurant within walking distance of my apartment. I am starting to get an idea of what I may be having for dinner tomorrow. All this talk about Indian food is working up an appetite for it.

Definitely agree that Chinese and Thai are very different from Indian.

Oh, and in addition to the foods I mentioned before, Sag Paneer + Nan = tongue.gif

the thing is there are lots of different styles of indian food as there are different styles of chinese etc.

from what i have seen indian, chinese and thai all make curry and there is definitely lots of overlapping in terms of spices they use.

Veronica Corningstone: My God, what is that smell? Oh.

Brian Fantana: That's the smell of desire my lady.

Veronica Corningstone: God no, it smells like, like a used diaper... filled with... Indian food.

Indian Food is good at a restaurant, do not cook it at your house- it will smell forever!!

By "forever" do you mean just a couple of hours? pokey.gif

Well, I know better than to bring leftover Indian food to work for lunch. It's true; the smell does linger, and it is unmistakeable. I don't find it at all unpleasant, but others might.
