As we know, Alex saw DG's concert in Toronto and got to meet him and have a musicians chat. Dave suggested songs be first written on acoustic then brought over to electric. David Gilmour is the reason why I started playing guitar, saw the Pompeii video and Echoes blew my mind! Then I got in Rush and lots of other prog bands and it's been a runaway train ever since!
