They talked about how many of their friends or at least fellow free climbers they knew had died when they fell. It's obviously a hazard of the sport and sport that has a much higher level of hazard than most sports. Someone in the movie likened it to an Olympic level athlete who, if they didn't get the gold medal, died. There's a very popular motorcycle race called the Isle of Man TT and many riders have been killed in practice or racing. In 2016, 5 of them did so. Would you have the same opinion of them as you do free climbers?

Would you have the same opinion of them as you do free climbers? As often seems to happen on this board, my comments on a very specific event are being expanded as a generalization. Let's be clear that my comments here have been in reference to the most extreme risk-taking free climbers. As for the Isle of Man TT... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Isle_of_Man_TT_Mountain_Course_fatalities#List_of_fatal_accidents_involving_competitors Looking at that chart, yeah, I'd say it's level of risk of fatality rises to stupidity. Segue Myles
Hereditary Hated it last year. Revisited it two nights ago and it was like a whole different experience. Phenomenal film. Reminded me of Hitchock, Rosemarys Baby and a dash of Argento. Edited February 20, 2019 by Segue Myles

invisible airwave
I thought it was kind of generic and shallow Don’t regret seeing it but like most, my big issue was the timeline and fictionlized scenes to make it dramatic. We Will Rock You did NOT come out in 1980. Not terrible but not deserving of a BP nod.

LeaveMyThingAlone
The Girl Next Door... I had never seen this up until a week ago, when I happened to see it on HBO. I've watched it maybe 4 times since. I have become somewhat obsessed with Elisha Cuthbert in this movie and her portrayal of the ex-porn star Danielle. Elisha at this point in her career is unbelievable. She's hot and sexy one scene and cute as a button the next. I've never seen anyone as absolutely perfect as the way she looks in this movie. (I think she was 20 when she filmed this). She's still a very attractive woman today, but man she's not even human in this movie. She combines sweet, pure, and angelic with hot and sexy amazingly well. I honestly thought she gave a very good performance too. There's a depth to it that's amazing for a 20 year old. Her character goes from assertive the first half to vulnerable and attached the 2nd half. She's kind of cast a spell over me over the past week...not that it's a healthy one by any means lol. Any other dudes get this weird feeling inside of them when they watch Elisha in this movie? There's a purity to her character which is totally weird to say when that character is an ex-porn star but she totally sold me and won me over in the role... I had honestly never heard of her when I watched this and I remember thinking to myself "who is this girl?!?!? and why isn't she a huge "A" list star?" I've since learned some more about her. Of course, she's Canadian, like so many other great things....but she seems o have made some bad career decisions and taken on some really bad movies. She is on a show called "The Ranch" on Netflix today. Again, an attractive woman, but she wouldn't stand out to me today.
