You gotta go with what you feel.  I love the metal side of PT but they've been moving away from it since Deadwing, so I'm OK with whatever SW has in mind.

Plus, he didn't say he was moving away from "heavy" music...so it's all good.

Here's more updates on pre-orders from Steven's Facebook. The limited edition version is up to 5000 copies in total worldwide. Apparently everyone's having problems with the Deluxe Edition being more expensive by ordering locally...Steven himself is appalled by this:

The double vinyl will include a drop card allowing you to download the album, but I don't know if that's lossless or compressed mp3. So a few things I need to clarify with the label - hopefully more info in a few days....


Well I checked out the pre-order from Newbury Comics just now, and the total as of now is cheaper than Burning Shed's by $2...originally it was something like $118 or close to that amount.

Awesome interview.  I don't think I've ever been more excited to hear an album, as I am to hear GFD.  Plus, Heartattack In A Layby is easily one of my favorite PT songs, so it was cool to see a question about it.

i just hope this album isn't to artsy fartsy. don't want to hear sound track stuff. don't want him to try to pull off jazz stuff with jazz musicians.

gary husband is going on tour with him. that should be fun. try holding that guy back behind the drum kit. gavin is great but gary is just incredible.

I think you will be disappointed. He said there's going to be a mix of everything, including jazz and soundtrack-like stuff.

Also, isn't Gary Husband playing keys? I know that he plays both drums and keys, but Steven said that Marco Minneman will be playing drums on the tour.

that's right gary on keys. marco is just as insane. what a great cast of musicians to have on tour with you. all amazing players. even if i don't dig the music i want to see these guys go off somewhat. even if it's just for one song. gonna catch them in philly. i'm surprised he has gary on keys. gary has been doing so many different things over on the other side  of the pond. incredible musician and then some.

The interview was decent. He played Postcard solo on the piano. That track is f***ing amazing!

^^^ i wish he would back off the "creepy" myself. The song was OK but the video was not my cup of tea.
