Analog Kid..

I guess I'd rather see a list of only synthy songs to choose from.

The Weapon~

I thought it had one of the best balances for this era.

And it's a really brilliant song.

But I loooooved the synth era. GUP, PoW, and HYF are three of my favourite Rush albums. yes.gif

Analog Kid is plenty synthy. But a list of synthy songs would be hard to determine exactly. This is for best song from that particular era. Not just synthy songs per se.

A few months ago The Weapon would have been my choice. But Between the Wheels has an incredible quality that I can't overlook. The Weapon is still my second choice though.

Between the Wheels

The masterpiece of the era, closely followed by Subdivisons, The Weapon, and Force Ten.

Fantastic tunes. Open Secrets gets my vote, though Subdivisions, Between the Wheels, Mystic Rhythms, and Prime Mover are all up there.

One again I go with the obvious and popular choice - "Subdivisions". While there are other songs on this list I would listen to over "Subdivisions", I can't ignore the song's justified popularity. When it was released it was different and it was good. Classic and popular and challenging Rush music. Ya can't beat it, in my book.

Probably would've voted for Between the Wheels or Time Stand Still, but I went with Red Lenses, because I knew it wouldn't get many votes. I love that song. And GUP is easily the best album in this era.

This was extremely hard. Today, Losing It.

But any other day it will be Digital Man, Between The Wheels, Red Sector A, Manhattan Project, Mystic Rhythms, Force Ten, Time Stand Still, or Prime Mover...or heck, any of the songs on this giant list unsure.gif

Subdivisions is the quintessential song to "reminisce" about high school days (and be glad about moving on). Even though p/g was my favorite album in this period, Subdivisions is by far my favorite song, and in the top 5 or 6 for me for their whole career...the rest of them are from the FBN to MP period.
