bigalfan
QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Apr 24 2011, 06:28 AM) super sharp cheddar...the sharper the better (up to a point, I'm sure, though that point has not yet been reached) Same with HOPS and beer for me...the more hop bitterness bite at the end, the better. Lost In Xanadu
QUOTE (bigalfan @ Jul 11 2011, 03:57 PM) QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Apr 24 2011, 06:28 AM) super sharp cheddar...the sharper the better (up to a point, I'm sure, though that point has not yet been reached) Same with HOPS and beer for me...the more hop bitterness bite at the end, the better. There's a definite point with me.... I'm pretty sure it was a 10 year cheddar (might have been 12) and it was so dry and crumbly... I didn't like it all that much on it's own. It was great in a salad, but not sliced on a cracker.

GrandDesigner
Smoked gouda is my favorite, with Havarti, provolone, mozzarella, and cheddar coming behind. I pretty much love all cheese
Thebuckeye2112
My favorite cheese differs from what I am using it for: For instance: My favorite Cheeses for Salads are:Manchego, Fresh Mozzarella, Feta If I am making Enchiladas or Tacos I usually go for Queso Oaxaca. Favorite sandwich cheeses:Pepperjack, Provelone, Swiss, or Havarti  Other Cheeses I like are: Camembert, Gouda and Edam
