I might be wrong, but I think this is like the third year in a row that the Cards have lost
on opening day. b_sigh.gif

And Pujols didn't do sh*t hitting wise. YAY!

I watched the ending of the game. You were up in the 9th. angry.gif Gotta close it up next time. 1287.gif

Gotta love Heyward hitting first-at-bat home runs in two consecutive Opening Day games. new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

yeah, that kid sure can rake. He's gonna be good for a long time. Hope he stays relatively clean.

I love opening day; so much crazy stuff, passballs, baserunning mistakes, relay issues, etc....It's almost like they play like little leaguers for a day and then tomorrow get down to business.

My Padres rally to win in extras. Unfortunately, I can't count on too many of those so blowing leads in the 8th or 9th can't be a regular kinda thing.

I'm lookin' forward to tomorrows games: Bosox vs Texas and Houston at Philly. Not really a fan of any of those but I wanna see some big name teams go at it. I'm excited 'bout baseball.

Great Game yesterday!

Granderson came up huge in the outfield and at the plate.

And maybe Teixeira's beginning of the year slump won't happen this year thanks to that booming 3-run shot he had new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Ahhhh BASEBALL!! Woohoo!!!

Phillies won today in a comeback walk off bottom of 9th...

Looking good from perspective of hits/smallball from different players.

Utley is out until further notice, but Valdez a good fill in.

Props to Houston - our former starter Brett Meyers shut down the Phils. (Myers was starter in '08 Championship year).

What kind of reception does Myers get in Philly these days? After his 2006 incident (punching his wife) it's hard to imagine it's too friendly!

Mixed bag. He helped us win a championship but he was a head case - literally the only negative character in the clubhouse....

In general, more boos than cheers.
