The debat should be over whether you like your bacon crispy or floppy?

Floppy for me. If its crispy, it's over done in my book.

It needs to be cooked to the point where it's still pretty flexible. Limp & floppy = not cooked enough, crispy = overcooked. Some people cook it to the point where I consider it burnt - my mom, for example. If you are so concerned about how much fat you are consuming, step away from the bacon and leave more for the rest of us.

I refuse to sully the word "bacon" by affiliating it with any of the following words:

turkey

vegan

meatless

substitute

That is all.

I had a bacon sandwhich today.
I cut the bread into thinner pieces and stuck bacon inside, and inside the sandwhich I put bacon, and I added bacon-flavored cheese. I put a piece of lettuce inside (there was bacon wrapped inside the lettuce) and I also put more bacon. Then I drank bacon juice to go with it.

Did you use this on it?

That shit's an affront to the bacon-eating masses. I picked up a jar in the grocery store one afternoon out of curiosity and guess what? NO REAL BACON anywhere in the ingredients. It uses "imitation bacon flavoring".

Kids, that's about 26 layers of wrong.

I've never had it, but that's terrible. Even worse is the fact that they make a "light" version. angry.gif

Denny's has a whole menu insert of bacon specials going on now, including a bacon sundae. Srsly. Ice cream & syrup sprinkled with bacon. I may choose the bacon cheese waffle next time I go.

And I vote for not-quite-crispy bacon.

God yes! If you pick up a piece of bacon, and it stays straight, thing be overcooked.

I keep flip flopping the bacon while I'm frying it. Turns out better, more evenly cooked that way IMO.

Likewise. Eggs ruin everything they touch. (Except when they are an ingredient in baked goods).

I swear I had not seen this pic on this thread because last time I accessed the filters weren't working or something...I saw this exact thing written on the air-dryer at my school toddy and was gonna mention it.

Today I had bacon-stuffed bacon wrapped in bacon with a bacon sauce.

Yeah, I know...needed more bacon.

Shame on you, and that's nowhere near as innovative as my bacon sandwich dazed025.gif

I took bacon to school today and had an infinite amount in my pocket. I shared with the whole class. We all had bacon. But i had the most. I put some in everything I ate. Instead of chewing gum, I blew bubbles of bacon.

How's that for bacon today? biggrin.gif

I once had a teacher who gave an "F" to any student whose project or show and tell demonstration didn't include bacon.

English Bacon Rulez.

Other Bacon Sux.

Fact of Life.

Danish can be acceptable.

Sorry buddy, you have not had real bacon from any farms or ranches down here, and I have had english bacon. It's delicious, but it doesn't compare.

Gah, English bacon is far and away the best. That's why the Full English breakfast is the only way to start the day.

American Bacon has to burnt to a frazzle to make it anywhere near edible.

Give me a nice bit of Wiltshire Cure Back Bacon any day.

A bit patriotic, are we?

Didn't take long to notice..

No more patriotic than us talking about American bacon like it's the only bacon in the world, especially with us calling it simply "bacon."
