Was that a KGB giveaway? That's a great venue to see a show -- saw the R30 tour there, sec 102 right next to the soundboard. Congrats!

did this used to be the "Coors amphitheater"? I HATE this venue, it takes hours just to get in and park.

Funny, I had only been there once. Drove all the way from Long Beach to a meet-up, partied, left just in time to park, get our seats and the show started within minutes. Lucky I guess.

This are several options to get to Cricket Amp. in Chula Vista.
The 805/Main St. is the slowest and you should arrive an hour+ early.
You can come in from the south off 905 and Otay Valley Rd., a great way to leave the venue.
My favorite way is to come in from the east and hook into Heritage Rd. You will need a 4x4 vehicle and knowledge of the trails.
The Chula Vista Amphitheater is an absolutely GREAT venue and any HATE towards it is spawned by an ignorance of getting to it in an appropriate time frame and/or choice of driving direction.

The venue itself is great and a beautiful place to see a show and the sound is great.
But my advice to everyone is to leave yourselves plenty of time to get there. The road off the 805 (coming South) is a parking lot leading up to the amphitheater. We saw No Doubt there last year and were on this road an hour and barely made it. Worst traffic getting to a venue I've ever seen
