Poached salmon.

Also made a spaghetti sauce the normal way ( a bit of ground veal with the lean beef, a splash of red wine, onions, mushrooms, etc) - all the fixings, slowly simmering away.

But we decided to add the last dregs of an old bottle of Makers Mark.

Who wants pasta sauce with a tone of bourbon? Heck, why not.

Vegetable soup, schnitzels, potatoes and cabbage.

 

Schnitzels hit the spot every time. Ever fry them up with some old bacon fat? Or with a few slices of bacon? Some schnitzels and eggs and bacon. :)

Bacon is a must, but I get horrible heartburn afterwards.
