Snowdog
I just listened to his solo on ATWAS yesterday. Freaking amazing. It was the first time I've listened to that in probably 2 years. Just give that a listen and that's all you need to hear. But if you need additional evidence, just listen to the other selections listed above

kazzman
I can't think of 5, because quite frankly, as good as he is, he's not the best. There's so many different styles of drumming, each with their own masters. There probably never will be one individual player that will be the absolute best. Sure, you can say "he's the best," but you better be prepared to start compairing what he has done to other guys.

launchpad67a
Great drummer but not the best. Very hard to name anyone the best at their instrument, just too much out there to make that claim. Could be your 'favorite' though.
My_Shrimp_Cot
I think the only person you could make this claim for (best at their instrument) is Charlie Parker on saxophone.

Want2bLikeBrutus
My reasons are a little different Intellect- I dont think this guy can stop thinking if he wanted Motorcyclist - I know this is an odd one but its something I admire about him. There is just nothing like it!! Integrity - I'm only deducing this from his writings but he seems to have a very strong moral character that is hard to deny Passion - Again taken from his writing, he seems to say that he doesnt dabble in something. he jumps in head first and devours things Good Taste - Music, hobbies, food , drink, cars, motorcycles, travel.
