Ru5h F@n
I would have to say Moving Pictures. They had the 1st of a burning witch, the 2nd was dogs at a table and the 3rd was the 2112 logo. I thought that was kinda different. Rules!

thetrees
First of all, Good Topic!! Second of all, for me its a tie between Grace Under Pressure and Permanent Waves. I want to make a point that even though i grew up on cd's, the bigger album covers(Records) are what i am referring to. They show much more detail!! invisibleairwaves
I'm somewhat biased towards Moving Pictures, probably because of what's inside the cover.
Superbaldguy
Grace Under Pressure is classic stuff especially with the Karsh portrait of the boys on the inside cover..........There's no such thing a as a "bad" Rush album cover. Agreed with thetrees that the CD cover art just isn't the same as good old vinyl!

sfuentes
I created a poll that asked about one's favorite album cover a while ago - I'll see if I can dig it up and put it here. As for album covers, I would have to say that Vapor Trails is my favorite.
Want2bLikeBrutus
This is prob gonna be an unpopular choice but I'm partial to the Counterparts cover. Very simple, clean, nodding towards the less is more concept. Probably biased towards it because of the music inside. Next on the list would probably be Vapor Trail

physics23
Cool choices, you guys. Interesting and surprizing reasons. But what exactly is going on in Grace under Pressure? My choice is http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000001ESL.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg because I just love what the metaphor represents. I keep a copy of this album cover thumbtacked to the cork-board outside my dorm apartment. It always elicits curiosity from passers-by, including the occaisional philosophette. Huck
It was always Permanet Waves for me and that probably hasn't changed, even though I've caught up on nearly all of the back catalogue. It has a special place in my heart too, for buying it again on CD format about 7 months ago, it got me into Rush again and basically got me onto this board. I love all of them in their own way, Grace Under Pressure and Counterparts I think are the best albums after that..no stand out tracks really but really solid albums. The others have more individual songs I love, but also tracks I don't listen to. Shit I just realised this was about covers not albums 2112
Mustard Death
I would have to say Grace Under Pressure. I do agree with the vinyl cover comment. I have Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures records, but thats it...
