Murf
Hello everybody, I enjoyed reading the article about Rush posted on this board a couple of days ago. Here is another.. some of you may have seen it already - it's a real heavyweight Prog On! http://www.nyu.edu/projects/sciabarra/essays/rush.htm By the way, I'm still excited about having seen Rush on Sunday in Manchester (UK). As the poster who wrote up about the Birmingham gig stated, it was (in hindsight) truly amazing. Rob Sheffield, UK

I was just getting exciting thinking there was a fellow Sheffield poster on the forums and then I realised you've bumped a topic four years old back up the page. Rushian King
Well, I finished reading through it. Pretty interesting read although I won't pretend I understood all of it clearly. A little too scholarly for me. A couple things that caught my attention: Some critics actually believe Rush (lyrically) are espousing fascism, especially a song like 2112 and Vernon Reid of Living Color is a fan. Its probably not "facism" the way you might think it is meant.
