They've changed this story now:

Report: Bryan Bulaga suffers MCL sprain

Well, a "sprain" is often a tear of a ligament....

1st degree sprain = Stretching of the ligament fibers

2nd degree = Partial tear of the ligament(s)

3rd degree = A complete rupture of the ligament, sometimes taking bone with it

Offensive linemen are TOUGH. Many of them play all year long with sprained knees and ankles, so hopefully Bulaga can get by on his...... :ebert:

Or this. :P

I had a 2nd degree sprain and it turned into a complete tear when I tried climbing on a chair to reach something... but mine was my ACL

Packers 31

Jets 24

Packers star wide receiver Jordy Nelson gallops to the end zone for a big time 80-yard touchdown to help secure a great comeback win for the Green & Gold. When Nelson gets in the clear, very few defensive backs can catch him. He has been the foundation of the Packer passing offense for years now, and his new contract that he signed earlier this year reflects his importance to the team.

For 20 minutes, the Packers played liked the chumps who went to Seattle last week. Thankfully, they woke up after giving the very-ready-to-play Jets a 21-3 lead. Rodgers, Nelson, Randall Cobb and a proud, scrappy Packer defense would not be denied a win at home. The Jets' defensive front 7 was quite formidable, but Rodgers and Nelson had the last laugh. They're pretty strong, too!!

Detroit's Defensive Line 19

Packers 7

The Packers #1 problem has always been their inability to block a superior defensive line. Rodgers is great, his wide receivers and running backs are really good.....and it all gets disrupted when they face a D-line that is bigger, stronger, and meaner. The Lions' secondary is in disarray, but as the famous saying goes, a great D-line always makes the secondary look good.

When the Packers start blocking better, they will return to greatness. Until then, they will be an "also-ran". It's just that simple........

Whether it's Sam Shields picking off Jay Cutler, or Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson catching TD passes from Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers know how to beat their arch-rival Bears.

In a wild affair that featured ZERO punts from either team, the Packers prevailed via crucial takeaways, a dominant passing game, and a dominant passing game. Yes, I said that twice! :D Aaron Rodgers dissected the shaky Bear secondary with ease.

Could they have run the ball more? Sure, but I don't think they needed to do so. The Packer passing attack made up for the defense's poor play and then some. And, as always, the Packers know that Jay Cutler will offer some good opportunities for interceptions, and they did not waste them. TWO back-breaking INT's sealed da Bears' fate today, and an evenly-matched shootout turned into a blowout.

A much needed win for the now 2-2 Packers, who face a short week in preparation for the other arch-rival Vikings. A stormy Thursday is coming!!

Packers 42

Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Eddie Lacy, and Julius Peppers, along with their teammates, made sure that the upstart Vikings had NO chance of an upset win at rainy Lambeau Field.

A dominating 28-0 lead at the half was the equivalent of a perfect game. Powerful running by Lacy, the signature play-action bomb to Nelson, and a wonderful pick-6 by Peppers decided the game earlier than anyone had expected. Coasting thru the second half, the Packers still harassed QB Christian Ponder and made life miserable for the Vikings and their fans. At least for a week, all the questions about Eddie Lacy, the Packer defense, and the Packers in general have been answered.

All is well in Packer Land, so we can all just R-E-L-A-X..... :laughing guy: :laughing guy:

that was the most fun I had watching a game this year. The D looked great, and the different looks and blitzes were great to see. I really wanted that shutout though - the way the D played, they deserved it.

Very suprising that Clay Matthews & Co. played as long as they did. They were still out there late in the 4th quarter.

Ponder didn't have a chance. His linemen played like crap. They had better step it up next week for those damned Lions.....

Packers 27

Dolphins 24

TE Andrew Quarless catches a perfectly placed TD pass from Aaron Rodgers to stun the Miami Dolphins with .03 left in the game. :haz:

In a blistering hot and sweaty thrillfest, the two teams exchanged blows, momentum swings, and big plays to make the game a genuine classic. Aaron Rodgers ironically used the famous Dan Marino Fake Spike play to continue the last-minute, game-winning drive. Hit often by a determined Dolphin defensive front, Rodgers shook off the punishment and drove his team to a 4th-quarter winning score in one of his most CLUTCH performances ever.

The Packers survived, but not without losses. Starting cornerbacks Sam Shields and Tramon Williams may be out for a while with injuries. Just more adversity for a team that is focused on another Lombardi Trophy. They will prevail!!

That was a hell of a pass.

Hell of a game. I haven't been that nervous in a long time... my dad and I both yelled when the catch was made

I was sitting on the edge of my seat, and when the pass went to Quarless, I shot out a fist and repeatedly yelled, "That was TOO easy!" :laughing guy: The Dolphins got caught with their pants down on that play. Putting a linebacker out there on an island to cover Quarless was just begging for trouble.

Fascinating how Mike McCarthy opted to go for a field goal and get to 20-24 with only four minutes remaining. He trusted his defense to force a punt and get the ball back.....and it worked!

Did you see McCarthy when Rodgers came off the field? They showed it repeatedly in slo-mo and I am nearly certain he said "you crazy f*cker" - I assume in reference to the fake spike.

A good Catholic boy during press conferences, Mike McCarthy is definitely no saint when he's on the field..... :laughing guy:

Packers 38

Panthers 17

Clay Matthews leads a hungry Packer defense in a dominating rout of Cam Newton and the Panthers. Matthews, Julius Peppers, and many others went after Newton and his offense like a pack of hungry wolves today.

The Green Bay Packers came to play today, whereas the Carolina Panthers did not. After scoring a whole lotta points against the Bengals last week, Cam Newton and his offense were almost completely suffocated by the high-pressure Packer defense. Everyone expected Aaron Rodgers and his red-hot offense to score lots of points, but no one really expected the Packer defense to make the game a blowout by halftime.

Aaron Rodgers and his offense played a near-perfect game, with FIVE different Packers scoring touchdowns. Nelson, Cobb, Adams, Lacy, and Starks all feasted on the struggling Panther defense. Some garbage time scoring in the 4th quarter allowed the Panthers to salvage some pride, but they know full well that they were completely dominated.

Next Up: Those pesky New Orleans Saints, who will be most eager to atone for a bad loss in Detroit. It should be a barnburner!!
