My_Shrimp_Cot
actually by-tor and Nec aren't connected. In one By-tor is bad and the other he is good....it's just a name. One of the roadies dogs if I remember

Only "Where's my thing"....and it's part IV, which is kind of hard to have a part 4 in a trilogy. They're just goofs sometimes...esp Alex.

rushstarboy37
What about grace under pressure? maybe it's just me but those songs totally sound like they are connected in a way. maybe it's just because geddy only refers to the other person in the songs as you the entire time and has red in like three songs. distant early warning: red alert, red sector A, red lenses
Midway Hawker
I've always noticed things like lyrics that point to another song or album. It's probably just coincedence, but for example: "SIGNALS get crossed.." from Vital Signs "ALL THE WORLD'S indeed A STAGE" from Limelight "Force a SHOW OF HANDS" from Prime Mover Etc etc... circumstantial tree
I've personally considered "Middletown Dreams" connected to "Mission". In Middletown dreams, it's about the dream whereas in Mission it's the actions taken in response to those dreams. Subdivisions could be thrown in there too, but since Grace Under Pressure interrupts that concept, I don't count it.
rushstarboy37
QUOTE (My_Shrimp_Cot @ Apr 15 2005, 01:55 PM) actually by-tor and Nec aren't connected. In one By-tor is bad and the other he is good....it's just a name. One of the roadies dogs if I remember no actually they are the same person. It's explained in the necromancer. hes returned and the curse is broken, he used to be evil but hes good now. by the way, how many people are princes by the name of by-tor? hes a prince in both songs, it is the same one. By-tor and the snowdog I. At The Tobes Of Hades The Tobes of Hades, lit by flickering torchlight The netherworld is gathered in the glare Prince By-Tor takes the cavern to the north light The sign of Eth is rising in the air. By-Tor, knight of darkness, Centurion of evil, devil's prince. II. Across The Styx Across the River Styx, out of the lamplight His nemesis is waiting at the gate The Snow Dog, ermine glowing in the damp night Coal-black eyes shimmering with hate. By-Tor and the Snow Dog Square for battle, let the fray begin... III. The Battle i) Challenge And Defiance ii) 7/4 War Furor iii) Aftermath iv) Hymn of Triumph IV. Epilogue The battle's over and the dust is clearing Disciples of the Snow Dog sound the knell Rejoicing echoes as the dawn is nearing By-Tor in defeat retreats to Hell Snow Dog is victorious The land of the Overworld is saved again. The necromancer III. Return of the Prince Enter the Champion. Prince By-Tor appears to battle for freedom from chains of long years. The spell has been broken...the Dark Lands are bright, the Wraith of the Necromancer soars away...in the night. Stealthily attacking By-Tor slays his foe The men are free to run now From labyrinths below The Wraith of Necromancer Shadows through the sky Another land to darken With evil prism eye... edit: also note he was never slayed he only retreated to hell after he failed to win. by-tor rocks
