Paulio91184 Posted July 23, 2010 Share Posted July 23, 2010 I say do what makes u happy, just please be respectful of those around you when you light up...I don't smoke weed or do any drugs and sometimes people light up right next to me and at these outdoor shows it could end up blowing right into someones face while they are trying to enjoy the show and it can get rather annoying. I suppose now I could spend all my free time loaded to the tipping point and my current employer wouldn't give a shit. Provided, of course, my performance on the job didn't suffer. Heck i had a hookah that held over an ounce of it, and it took a torch to get going good and i never had any instability or imbalance problems, and it was filled DAILY. Never got in trouble with the law or anything like that. Fast forward 20 years, i have 5 children with no issues and am an electrical engineer which requires a lot of higher math to do my job. I think if you have a pre existing condition then maybe it holds some merit, but i know plenty of people from my youth who smoked it as much as i did or more and still do who turned out just fine. As far as abilities go IMHO and others who know me, my drum playing is more focused while i'm buzzed. Some songs that i really have to concentrate on like Marathon, the ending to lock and key or keeping time while playing alien shore come easier and are spot on. In either case here, i think it comes down to the individual. Being in law enforcement leads to a one sided evaluation because most of the time all you see are criminals, but i do believe if you have a tendency toward violence and other impulsive criminal activities then taking away the inhibitions with weed adds to it.
