jettman11
On the Rush website it says to "check your local music retailer" What exactly is this release? A new cd? Yet another "greatest hits"? Any news would be appreciated.
sfuentes
QUOTE (jettman11 @ Apr 8 2005, 05:39 PM) On the Rush website it says to "check your local music retailer" What exactly is this release? A new cd? Yet another "greatest hits"? Any news would be appreciated. This is a repackaging of both the Chronicles on two CDs and one DVD. It's nothing special. It's not even remastered. I thought that's the reason they released it in the first place? Am I missing something here?
sfuentes
It's not remastered. It's merely a repackaging.

So is it just that the CD and DVD are together in one package and there is some new art on it, but the sound is the same?
PuppetKing2112
Is there even any new art?  And while they're reissuing stuff, I want my ESL, GUP, and ASOH DVDs. I know I've said it in every thread on this CD but it's still true.

cla2112
This is the record company putting this one out. Why would Rush put out a 20 year old compilation while their on the verge of releasing a new live DVD? The "Sound and Vision" is nothing more than the Chronicles CD and DVD combined, no remastering, nothing thats not already on the original. (Former) record companies do this all the time. cla2112
This is the (former) record company's way of cashing in (again) on Rush's music. While it is legal (to the best of my knowledge, anyway), it's tacky since they did nothing special, such as remastering, or special packaging. Besides, with a new live DVD in the works, and with the boys back in the studio, why would Rush re-release old material in such a way?
